Caboose Brewing Company

Located at mile marker 12 of the W&OD Trail, Caboose Brewing Company was first established in Vienna, VA in 2014 by the Greer and McLaughlin families. Jennifer McLaughlin says, "Caboose was built with the intention of creating a welcoming, healthy space in which friends and family gather to work and play."

In 2018 Caboose expanded to it's second location in Merrifield, VA. Both of our locations carry the same values in every day operations: healthy environment, healthy lifestyle, and civic responsibility. We wholeheartedly join our employees in an effort to provide quality food and beverage,  space to support local artists, and opportunities for all of us to try new things and meet new people.

The medium-bodied New England-style India Pale Ale is fruit forward with citrus notes and a juicy mouth feel. We are so happy to say, that Fog is now available in cans, on tap at both locations, available in growlers, sixtels and half barrels.

The Fog IPA is our best seller and fan favorite. Fog was created in January 2017 by our head brewer at the time, Chris Mallon. The name, “Fog” came to fruition from one of Matt Greer’s dreams.

We first canned our Fog in 12 oz cans. But due to popular demand, we decided to up our game and can 16 oz of our Fog IPA. We are excited, to say the least.

Our Fog IPA Label

If you’ve been to Caboose in Vienna, you can’t miss the power lines running alongside the W&OD Trail. Our patio connects the old railroad trail, crisscrossing wildlife, families getting some fresh air, and the soft buzz of the power lines. We wanted to capture this sense of familiarity when canning our beer, to introduce Caboose to folks who may have never even heard of Vienna, Virginia.

Why green? We wanted to bring attention to a cause near and dear to our hearts, Lyme Disease. This disease has hit home in one of our owner’s families. We wanted to take this opportunity to educate as many people as possible. Learn more about Lyme Disease here.

Let’s Get Canning

“It is a big step as a brewery to be able to expand the brands we have out in the market,” said Ryan Gaspard, Caboose Brewing Operations Manager. “It’s a great opportunity for us to give people a taste of the high quality brewing that’s happening right in their own backyard.”

Love our beers so much you want to get them at your other favorite local spots? You are in luck! Besides being available in our taproom, our beers are currently available throughout Northern Virginia and DC through our distributor,  Ferment Nation. Our Vienna, VA Lager and Fog IPA are both available in a six pack, with other fan favorites soon to follow.
