FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our Story

Caboose Brewing Company was formed in October 2013 and opened in May 2015 in Vienna, Virginia by two local families, the McLaughlins and the Greers. The name "Caboose" is a nod to the W&OD railroad line, which has since been re-purposed as the premier bike and trail path in the area. The trail runs along the back of our building. Our food is locally sourced, humanely raised, thoughtfully prepared, and served in a community setting. Caboose is the first and only brewery operating in Vienna, and the closest brewery located along the W&OD trail. We can't wait to see you soon!

Do you serve food?

Yes! Both our Vienna and Fairfax locations feature an amazing selection of food prepared by our Executive Chef. We source as much of our ingredients as possible from local farmers, and all of our food is ethically and responsibly sourced.

What’s up with the seating?

Caboose Brewing - Vienna, VA: Our Vienna taproom is a full service restaurant and brewpub. We have seated tables for our dining customers as well as a bar area. We highly recommend that you make reservations to secure your table. We also have the option to reserve space for private parties.

Caboose Commons - Fairfax, VA: Our Fairfax coffeehouse and beer garden is a large communal setting which includes 3 levels of open seating, a large outdoor patio, and lots of standing bars and tables. Our Fairfax location also has the option to reserve space for private parties.

How can I make reservations?

You can currently make reservations at our Vienna brewpub through our website here. We highly recommend this, because our seating is limited and often fills up quickly. We do not accept reservations at our Fairfax location. You can also reserve space at either location for a private party.

Can I have a private event here?

We would love to host your next private party or corporate event! Between our 2 locations there are a lot of options. Visit our private events page here to learn more about your options and to start the planning process.

Is there an outdoor patio?

Yes! Both of our locations have an outdoor patio. Seating for the patio at both locations is first come, first serve. Dogs are welcome at both!

Are you dog friendly?

Yes! We love pups! The patios at both locations are very dog friendly. They’re some of our best customers. Vaccinated, friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome outside, just not inside the building. Per Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) law, pets must remain outside at all times. According to VDACS guidelines, dogs must be kept on a leash or within a pet carrier and under the control of their owner at all times. Aggressive pets will not be permitted on the patio. Please clean up after your pet, so others can enjoy the patio as well. Water bowls are provided - please let staff know if water needs to be refilled. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Are you family friendly?

Both our locations are family friendly. In fact, we wanted to create a place where families could go grab a drink and not have to leave anyone behind at home. We welcome visitors of all ages to our brewery. Remember that anyone wishing to enjoy alcoholr must be over 21, with valid identification.

Can I purchase a keg for a party?

Heck yes, you can!  You can reserve a keg here.

Is there merchandise/swag for purchase?

We have a wide variety of shirts, glassware, and more available for purchase. We're always adding new items, so keep an eye out for new Caboose swag. Currently we only sell our merchandise on-site, but we may be selling it online soon. So keep an eye out!
