Frequently Asked Questions

Our Story

Caboose Brewing Company was formed in 2014 and opened in April of 2015 by two local families, the McLaughlin’s and the Greer’s.  The name "Caboose" is a nod to the W&OD railroad line that used to run through the area and is now the premier bike and trail path in the area which runs along the back of our building.  Our Head Brewer, Chris Mallon, was previously at Heavy Seas Brewery in Baltimore, MD.  Our Executive Chef, Josh Hutter, was previously at Sonoma Restaurant & Wine Bar and Staunton & Green. The food is locally sourced, humanely raised, thoughtfully prepared, and served in a communal setting encouraging a shared experience by the whole table.  Caboose is the first and only brewery operating in Vienna and the closest brewery along the W&OD trail. We hope you come by and visit soon!

What’s up with the seating?

We are sorry that we don’t have more seats, but we make do with what we have.  We are both a brewery and a high quality restaurant. And given the demand for both our food and drinks, we provide our seated tables for our dining customers.  So, we highly recommend that you make reservations to secure your table! If you would like to know more on why we have the number of seats we have, please click here.
